Spencer Starnes played bass on several cuts on the Sampler, an outstanding musican, and now the owner and engineer at Bee Creek Studio a recording studio he founded in 1982. Spencer Starnes is an experienced bassist, engineer and producer with three Grammys to his name; one for his musicianship as bass player in the song “Hightower” by Asleep at The Wheel, another for his engineering expertise in the song “String of Pars” by Asleep at the Wheel, and one more for his talent as engineer in the song “Slippin’ In” by Buddy Guy.

Throughout his career Spencer has worked with numerous musicians bands and solo acts including: Micheal Martin Murphey, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, Ruben Ramos, Charlie Byrd, Joe Ely, Herb Ellis, Brant Vogel, David Leibmann, Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogus.
